Herrhausen is a German 12M€ budget co-pro series on the stellar career and tragic death of the Deutsche Bank CEO Alfred Herrhausen in 1989.
This truly European story inscribes itself in the last years of the Cold War culminating in the Fall of the Berlin Wall. Led by experienced German producer Gabriella Sperl, the project was destined for a shoot in Germany and South Africa. After a last-minute cancellation of the South Africa shoot, Beside and Belgium saved the planned 6-week shoot just one month prior the start of principal photography in Germany.
Herrhausen is the 4th German drama series coproduced by Beside Productions in the 2021-2022 period, once again confirming the compatibility of Belgium's Tax Shelter system with premium German series and Beside's unique positioning as financier and co-production partner.
