The Dreamer is a Danish-Belgian 10M€ budget series produced/directed/played by talented female trio Marie Gade, Jeanette Nordahl and Connie Nielsen starring as Out Of Africa’ author Karen Blixen. Few times at Beside Productions have we seen on set such a symbiotic working relationship fully expressing what female gaze really means in cinema.

Blixen’s multiple dreaming scenes have been captured at Brussels' Monev Studio, with Belgian Costume designer Catherine Marchand and Belgian music composer Yves Gourmeur helping Nielsen portray the sentiment and soul of this exceptional woman.

With  Benuts in charge of VFX and a Belgian Traveling Crew to South Africa eligible to Tax Shelter Financing, The Dreamer is a tentpole period drama made in Europe for Scandinavian platform to the world. Supported by Wallimage, this art-house series was showcased for the first time at Cannes Series 2022.
