The Swarm is a truly European 40M€ budget Co-pro series. Developed by German producers, produced with 150 Italian crew members travelling and staying in Belgium for a 2-week studio shoot in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, The Swarm defies the nay-sayers of European co-productions.

Un-interrupted, budgeted and overseen by Beside's in-house producer, François-Xavier Willems, the whole Belgian shoot at LITES water-stage studio convinced Screen Flanders to financially support the joint effort and maximize the production value of this highly professionalized co-production.

On set, a 60mx15m Rosco was built to recreate the Mediterranean horizon around LITES’ flooded stage to enact the story board requirements in the best and safest conditions possible for cast and crew. To be broadcast in 2023
